Qing Ming Festival Emperor HuangDi Hometown Ceremony
April 5, 2011. is one of 24 seasons in the Chinese lunar calendar. We call it Qing Ming or “Tomb Sweeping Festival” . I know this sounds sad but it is an important ceremony which traditional Chinese people worship.
Every one who loves Chinese culture and every one who loves ZhiHai’s “Emperor’s Walk” should be familiar with this. That is why I introduce you to these three things. The customs of the festival, the creator of the original knowledge, Xuan Yuan Huang Di and how the people worship this festival.
The Ceremony lasts different amounts of time but most are 10 days before and 10 days after Qing Ming. Some last a month.
All people join the Qing Ming ceremony… the whole country. From the powerful Emperor to the local farmer. They all worship people who have passed away. It could be your family, a great leader, historical figure. Anyone. They respect their spirit and memorize their love.
I introduce our Chinese civilization ancestor-XuanYuan Huang Di, the first Emperor’s, birth town. Xin Zhen City in He Nan province and his home village. All people of Chinese decent come here because they believe they all share a blood line with him. They hold services in honor of their ancestors.
This may be off base, but how about changing the theme every now and then? I just get tired of seeing the same thing all the time. Good post though, thanks.
